Although Apple’s iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max have received excellent reviews, they are not flawless and are among the best phones you can buy now. iPhone 12 users are talking about a wide range of problems, as in previous years, we have not heard of any widespread “gate” problems.

Losing signal
Unable to connect to 5G
5G Speed Isn’t as Fast as Expected

Bear in mind that the iPhone 12 is just a few months old, and while Apple and its partners will fix some of these problems, we will probably see more issues coming up as people put more wear and tear on these new models.

Similar problems face the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max as they share several components, have been launched at the same time, and are the first iPhones to launch with 5G networks in mind.

You will read about the current status of current iPhone 12 issues in the following guide, possible solutions for these issues, locations to find input, and what’s next for these devices.

iPhone 12 Issues

Fresh iPhones are still plagued with activation problems, so it should come as no surprise to hear that certain owners have dealt with them.

Check Apple’s Device Status page if you have trouble triggering your phone. If next to iOS System Activation, you don’t see a green symbol, you’ll want to wait until it’s green and then try triggering the phone again.

Make sure you have a SIM card inserted into your iPhone if it’s green and the mechanism still doesn’t work. If you receive a “No Sim” or “Invalid SIM” error, please refer to this guide for support.

We also hear about Face ID issues, first- and third-party applications issues, exchange issues, iCloud issues, visual voicemail issues, SIM card problems, Bluetooth issues, screen issues, design issues, charging issues, Wi-Fi issues, sound issues, and excessive battery drain when devices are in standby mode.

There is some chatter about display problems. A greenish tint is exhibited in some iPhone 12 models and other users struggle with flickering displays. On one of our iPhone 12 Pro models, we encountered this problem.

Luckily, Apple is aware of the problems and is currently researching how they can be solved. Similar problems were seen by iPhone 11 users, but with its iOS 13.6.1 update, Apple was able to resolve them. That bodes well for users of iPhone 12, who will definitely get a similar patch in a future update to iOS 14.

Here are a few issues with the 12 official iPhone cases. Without speaker holes, some MagSafe cases arrived.

On top of that, iPhone 12 users complain about problems with 5G/LTE. Some users claim that when on-the-go, cellular coverage drops suddenly. Others complain that they don’t see the speeds of 5G they planned.

It’s important to keep in mind that 5G is a relatively new technology and it can be inconsistent with coverage. As carriers such as Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile build their 5G networks, some of the frustrations with poor 5G performance should be solved over time.

Looking for Feedback about the Performance

If you’re looking to buy an iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, or iPhone 12 Pro Max, or if you already own one, you’ll want to track input from people who have purchased these devices. This feedback will alert you to possible hardware and software problems.

For ongoing feedback about the flagship phones, we suggest keeping an eye on YouTube, Apple’s discussion boards, social networking sites like Twitter, and sites like the MacRumors forums.

We’ve also put together a list of the best arguments for downloading the newest version of iOS 14 and not, and if you’re on the fence about new apps, it’s worth a look.

How to Fix the Issues

There’s no need to panic if you run into a crisis. You would be able to stop bringing your new computer to the Apple Store or the nearest carrier store for assistance. There is a strong chance.

Take a look at our list of fixes for the most popular iPhone 12 issues first. For popular problems like broken Bluetooth and busted Wi-Fi, it will take you through repairs.

We’ve also published some tips to help you improve efficiency and a guide that, if you find an abnormal drain, might help you improve battery life.

Try restarting your phone if you’re struggling with wireless charging problems. Apple says it’s working on a problem solution, but when it comes out, it’s unclear.

If you can not find a solution to your problem(s) in our guides, you may want to search the discussion forums of Apple and see if anyone has a solution to your problem (s).

It’s time to get in touch with Apple if you can’t find something there. You can do so on Twitter via the support account of the company. You can also contact Apple Support via the company’s website.

If you would like to explain your problem in person, you can take your new phone to your nearest Apple Store to see if your problem can be diagnosed. You’ll want to schedule a Genius Bar appointment if you have an Apple Store in your city.

If your phone is still under warranty and if the issue is bad enough, they can give you a replacement.

How to Downgrade iPhone 12’s Software

If you’re struggling with software issues on your iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, or iPhone 12 Pro Max, if the option is open, you can try downgrading to the previous iOS 14 version.

Our iOS downgrade guide will walk you through what you need to know before making the move if you are unfamiliar with the downgrade process.

What’s Next then?

You could be on your own for a while if your computer is struggling with iOS 14.4, or an older version of iOS 14.

A new iOS 14.5 update has been verified by Apple and the software is currently in beta testing ahead of its official release later this year.

IOS 14.5 is a milestone release, which ensures new functionality, bug fixes, and security improvements will be included. We expect the changes to be a fairly long list.

If you can’t wait for the final update of iOS 14.5 to launch, the pre-release firmware version can be downloaded to your iPhone right now.
